Blue Marlin Right Short rigger

We did not have a trip on the Hunter yesterday, but I had a chance to fill in on the Marlin Fever, a private boat, with my buddy Cameron Guthrie.  It was a very fun day on the ocean!  When the dust settled we had 17 Dolphin, a few Blackfin Tuna, one White Marlin, and two Blue Marlin!  The first Blue Marlin was around 200 lbs, but the second fish was 500+!  We hooked a decent sized Gaffer Dolphin and were reeling it in when the Big Blue decided he wanted to eat the dolphin more than us!  I have had this happen before, but this was the first time we actually caught the Marlin.  The weather looks a little iffy for the weekend, but maybe the weather man will be wrong.  May fishing is in full swing with all the boats yesterday catching plenty of Dolphin and a sprinkling of Marlin.  Weather is looking good for next week and we have days open.  Get your crew together and get down here!  Hopefully I will have some pictures of yesterdays Marlin soon, and will post them.
